FRONT GALLERY: *Artwork by chris rice*

We are very pleased to present the beautiful artwork of Chris Rice in our Front Gallery through the month of May.
Self-taught local artist Chris Rice is an extremely talented painter of stunning floral still life, nature, and portraiture. This artist is grateful for his artistic gifts and feels by painting and exhibiting his work he is giving back to the viewer and the world the fruits of those gifts.

Main Gallery: *THE GRISHAM COLLECTION BY mARILYN gRISHAM*

**MAY 10th to JUNE 8th, 2024**
The Hutchinson Art Center is thrilled to present the work of Kansas artist Marilyn Grisham in our Main Gallery starting in May.
Wichita based fiber artist Marilyn Grisham will exhibit her unique fiber art in our Main Gallery in May and June. She was born and raised in El Dorado, Kansas and possesses a Fine Arts degree from Ottawa University. After college, she took up fiber art at the Wichita Art Association, studying under Ron Hickman, and began exhibiting her work in 1966. It was ten years later that she moved from focusing on abstract geometric designs to incorporating the colors and forms of grass and sky into her weavings. Marilyn owns and operates the Fiber Studio in Wichita, Kansas.

MAIN Gallery: *SELECTIONS FROM THE HUTCHINSON ART ASSOCIATION PERMANENT COLLECTION*

**MAY 10th to JUNE 8th, 2024**
The Hutchinson Art Center is looking forward to again displaying more selections from our Permanent Collection in the Main Gallery.
The Hutchinson Art Association has collected over 350 works of art by local, national, and international artists. They represent high caliber human creativity that has left an indelible mark on the history and culture of Hutchinson. This exhibition will provide a prelude to our larger 75th anniversary exhibition, with even more works from our permanent collection to be added as we near the reception celebration on July 19th, 2024.

MAIN GALLERY: *HUTCHINSON ART ASSOCIATION 75th ANNIVERSARY PERMANENT COLLECTION EXHIBITION*

**JUNE 14th to AUGUST 17th, 2024**
The Hutchinson Art Center is celebrating 75 years in 2024!
Selections of the Hutchinson Art Association Permanent Collection will be on display in the Main Gallery during the months of June, July, and August. The exhibition will span the seven-plus decades of the organization bringing the arts to Hutchinson, KS!

FRONT GALLERY: *ARTWORK BY JENNIFER WEIGEL*

**JULY 5th to 31st, 2024**
The Hutchinson Art Center is excited to feature the work of McPherson artist Jennifer Weigel in our Front Gallery for the month of July.
Jennifer Weigel is a multi-disciplinary mixed media conceptual artist. Weigel utilizes a wide range of media to convey her ideas, including assemblage, drawing, fibers, installation, jewelry, painting, performance, photography, sculpture, video and writing. Much of her work touches on themes of beauty, identity (especially gender identity), memory & forgetting, and institutional critique. Weigel’s art has been exhibited nationally in all 50 states and has won numerous awards.
**This exhibition will be on display in the Front Gallery from July 5th - 31st, 2024.**

AUGUST 8th to 28th, 2024

The Hutchinson Art Center is proud to feature the work of local artist and owner of Wabi-Sabi Artspace Pamela Zieburtz in our Front Gallery during the month of August.

Main gallery: *mulberry art gallery artists*

**AUGUST 23rd to SEPTEMBER 21st, 2024**
A group of talented artists represented by the Mulberry Art Gallery will be showing their work in our Main Gallery. during the months of August and September.
The Wichita-based gallery is focused on providing ongoing visibility to Black, Brown, and other underrepresented artists who are often offered few opportunities to show their work and grow their careers, with the gallery serving as a space where artists of color can show their work in a community where their art is wholly appreciated.
**This exhibition will be on display in the Main Gallery from August 23rd - September 21st, 2024.**

This is a perfect opportunity to browse through our exhibit of 100+ works of art available for live bidding at our consignment art auction on Saturday, October 12th, 2024.
