Art Fair Judge

Give a warm welcome to this year’s Art Fair judge, Chandler Reich!

Reich is a graduate of Fort Hays State University, holding dual Bachelor’s degrees in Art and Education. During her time at FHSU, she worked at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History, gaining experience in public engagement and cultural programming. She is currently the Executive Director of the Hays Arts Council in Hays, KS and previously held the role of Director at the Grassroots Art Center in Lucas, KS.

She is also a volunteer board member for the Russell County Historical Society, Vice President of the Switchgrass Art Cooperative in Lucas, and Vice President of P.E.O. Chapter HD of Russell, a philanthropic organization supporting women’s education.

Her awards and honors include multiple recognitions from FHSU, both for her art and studies. She has received awards from the Annual Student Honors Exhibition and the Russell Original Art Review. She also contributed to FHSU’s Collaborative Art Project (CAP), partnering with Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas to make art accessible to all as a tool for connection and empowerment.

Born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, in 1998 and raised in Russell by her single mother from age five, Reich’s rural roots shape her leadership and values. Later, her creative works are grounded in personal memories that evoke familiarity from nature and the human experience. Reich is passionate about building sustainable arts infrastructure in rural communities and believes in the transformative power of creativity.

In 1968, Ralph joined the United States Navy and is a Vietnam vet. He is known for playing a wailing sax in the various bands he has performed with over the years. Mark Casebeer grew up in McPherson, KS and it was during his time at McPherson High School that he would pick up the trumpet. Casebeer has played with many different Army Bands while serving in the military. Once out of the service he played with many different bands in many cities across the country. Casebeer currently resides in Lindsborg, KS.
