MONTHLY CHILDREN’S ART PROJECTS
Join us for monthly children’s art projects here at the Hutchinson Art Center! Two groups will meet during a Saturday afternoon every month from October 2026 through April 2027. This is an opportunity for children aged 6 through 12 to create their own work of art! Students will be divided into two groups: Group A and Group B. Group A meets from 1:00 to 2:30 PM, while Group B meets 3:00 to 4:30 PM. For Hutchinson Art Center members, each group art class costs $8 per child, while it is $9 per child per group art class for Non-members.
MEET THE TEACHER
The fabulous Hannah Beam will lead our Monthly Children’s Art Projects this year!
Hannah Beam is a local Hutchinson artist who specializes in live painting and collaboration. Her background in art education, graphic design, and small business adds unique perspectives to her practice. She studied art education at Hutchinson Community College and Wichita State University. When she's not having fun making art, she is having fun raising her young son!

Parents can register their child by purchasing a spot using the button below. Hurry! Registration is limited to 15 students/group per month.
We will announce specific art projects and their theme on a monthly basis through April, so check back here regularly to see what projects will be available for the month.
The theme for October is Whimsical Webs: Spider Line Designs!

Ever wonder what kind of web you would weave if you were a spider? Now's your chance to find out! Explore the art element of line while getting in touch with one of the heroes of fall, the spider! You're probably seeing a lot more spiders around lately, and maybe even walking into a few of their webs! This project involves using different kinds of lines to make creative and whimsical webs and going on the hunt for cool lines to make your very own spider friend.
