The Hutchinson Art Center is looking forward to exhibiting the work of Kansas artist Melinda McDaniel, alongside the assemblages of Susan Meyer, in our Front Gallery for the month of July.

Melinda McDaniel is a local artist who hails from Wichita, Kansas. A member of the community since 2013 and an all around creative, she flows between writing, singing, performing, and art. Her journey in Fine Arts expanded around 2020 initially using materials from her “day job” in Applied Arts as a means to express energies shown during dreams, meditations, visions, and downtime. From this she went on to participate in group showings and to publish her compilation Lily, Are You Out There?, available on Amazon and eBay. Her use of acrylics and mixed media has led her from drawings and acrylic pours to experimenting with the human form and landscapes in a semi-realistic style.
