The Hutchinson Art Center is proud to featuring the work of Kansas artist Becka Jahelka in our Front Gallery during October and into early November.

Becka Jahelka is interested in how color, shape, and line can come together in abstract compositions. The artist utilizes batik and watercolor techniques, printmaking methods such as relief, reduction, collagraph, and monotype, or a combination of these techniques and methods – whichever best suits her subject matter. She takes inspiration from the landscapes around her home in her native Kansas and her frequent summer destinations of Colorado.
