Art Fair Judge

 

Give a warm welcome to this year’s Art Fair judge, Mary Binford Miller!

Mary Binford Miller is originally from Liberal, Kansas and paints primarily figurative work, landscapes, and western motifs . She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and a Bachelor of Science in art education from Kansas State University. She spent 17 years as a fashion illustrator and graphic designer, working for The Oklahoma Publishing Co. and The Wichita Eagle. Binford Miller has studied with Everett Raymond Kinstler, official portrait painter of Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan, as well as noted painters David Leffel, Daniel Gerhartz, Jeff Legg and Daniel Keys. She is a member of the Kansas Academy of Oil Painters, Wichita Women Artists, and Oil Painters of America.

 

Binford Miller is a multiple Addy Award winner in the graphic arts field and has also won awards for her fine art paintings, the most recent being an Honorable Mention in the 2018 Mark Arts Oil Painting National Exhibition. Additionally, she is the co-winner of the Koch Cultural Trust Enabling Grant for 2018. She is represented by SouthWind Gallery in Topeka, KS and Reuben Saunders Gallery in Wichita, KS. She also teaches classes at MarkArts (formerly known as the Wichita Center for the Arts) in Wichita, KS.

Color Green
Color Green is a Bluegrass/Gospel group based in the Hutchinson/Yoder, KS area, and have been together for about two years. The five members bring many years of musical history into the group. Although they’ve cut their teeth on Bluegrass & Gospel music, other genres have been added — because they’re too good to pass up! They have been playing locally at craft shows, churches, and about wherever anyone will listen!

Justin Riggs
Justin is a singer-songwriter from Hutchinson, KS who plays original country and folk tunes. He has performed at the Reno County Farmer’s Market and Metropolitan Coffee as well as in various venues across the great Sunflower State. He released his debut album Hawk | Bison | Sun in February 2022.

Ralph Brown Trio
Ralph Brown is a resident of Hutchinson, KS and has forever been addicted to music. At the age of 8, Ralph was greatly influenced from listening to Charlie Parker records. He started playing saxophone at the age of 13. In 1968, Ralph joined the United States Navy and is a Vietnam vet. He is known for playing a wailing sax in the various bands he has performed with over the years. Ralph and his wife Juanita have three sons and one daughter who are all musicians.
