Artist Bio:

Larry Carver, an award-winning photographer, has been doing photography for over 40 years, and recently began focusing his photographic talent on Nature, Church Architecture, and Travel subjects. His photographs have been published in regional and national publications including the High Plains Journal, and his work has been displayed in several local venues and can be found in several public and private collections. His photographs are a visual expression of what he saw at the moment the image was captured by the camera. Using applications like Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CC, Carver replicates the mood of the image so that the scene photographed is reproduced on the computer, and finally printed on paper or canvas as a creative and artistic representation of what was seen.

Carver, and his wife Joyce, have traveled throughout the United States and to Italy, Spain, France, Holland, Ireland, England, and Scotland where he has focused on photographing cathedrals and churches as well as other traditional locations. Carver is a retired Episcopal minister, having been ordained in 1972 and serving churches in Michigan and Kansas, and retired from Hutchinson Community College where he was the Director of Instructional Technology and Virtual Learning. Currently he is an adjunct instructor for Fort Hays State University in the Department of Applied Technology. He is also an Artist member of the Hutchinson Art Center. His work can be view at his website, lcarver44.com.
